Executive Management
Raanan Cohen - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Cohen was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Koor in July 2006. He is also Vice President of Discount Investments Corporation Ltd. (“DIC”), Koor's controlling shareholder, having served in such position since August 2001 and was previously Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of DIC from 1999. Mr. Cohen also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Scailex Corporation Ltd. (formerly Scitex) from 2004 to July 2006. Prior to joining DIC, he was an associate with McKinsey & Company, Inc. in London from 1997. Mr. Cohen is a lawyer, admitted to the Israel Bar, and from 1994 to 1995 he served as an attorney with S. Horowitz & Co., an Israeli law firm. He is a director of a number of companies in the IDB group, including Cellcom Israel Ltd. and Property & Building Corporation Ltd. Mr. Cohen holds bachelors degrees in law and in economics from Tel Aviv University and a masters degree in management from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois.
Zvi Fisher, Adv. - General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Fisher was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Koor in January 2008. Prior to joining Koor, Mr. Fisher was a partner with the law firm Yoram L. Cohen, Ashlagi, Fisher, Eshel. During the years 2002 – 2003, after practicing law with leading Israeli law firms, Mr. Fisher practiced law as an associate in the corporate department of the law firm Brown Rudnick Berlack Israels LLP in Boston. Mr. Fisher served his internship at the Supreme Court of Israel with the Honorable Justice Eliahu Mazza, and was an adjunct lecturer on corporate law at the Faculty of Law of Bar Ilan University.
Mr. Fisher holds bachelors degrees in law and in economics (Magna Cum Laude) from Bar Ilan University, and was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 1997.
Oren Hillinger - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Hillinger was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Koor in June 2008. Previously he served as Finance Director of Koor from 2005. Prior to joining Koor Mr. Hillinger served as a manger with the Financial Advisory Services division of KPMG Somekh Chaikin, a leading Israeli accounting firm, from 1997. Mr. Hillinger is a certified public accountant (Isr.). He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Koor-Tadiran Gemel Ltd., a provident funds management company, and also a director of Telrad Networks Ltd., Epsilon Provident Funds Management Ltd. and of Epsilon Mutual Funds Management Ltd, and additional companies within the Koor Group. Mr. Hillinger also serves as an observer of few other companies within the Koor Group.
Mr. Hillinger holds an MBA (Summa Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University and bachelor's degree in accounting (Magna Cum Laude), and Bachelor of Laws, also from Tel Aviv University.
Avishag Perets, CPA - Corporate Controller
Ms. Perets has served as Corporate Controller starting June 2008. From July 2000 to May 2008, she served as Corporate Controller in Telit Communication Group and also in Europe Israel Group. From 1996 through 2000 she was an audit senior at Deloitte. Ms Perets holds a BA in Accounting and Economics from the Bar Ilan University in Ramat Gan.
